There are many websites on the Web. Most “surfers” are looking for specific information. The content of your pages should be informative as well as conversational. People who buy on the Web, are just like you. Many don’t take kindly to sites that blatently try to sell

products and or services. People surf for entertainment reasons as well as to find information that proves helpful to their needs.

Think about it, people are bombarded by advertising everyday of their lives! From commercials, to billboards to telemarketers. When they go to a site to find prmarily free information, the ease of “readability” is determined by the pages layout. It should be

laid out in a way that is friendly to the eye of the reader. Headlines that are short and snappy. Sub-heads that are to the point, bullets that convey the benifits and content which they can “scan”.

Consider yourself, as you reach a sites homepage. If you encounter a huge block of text that is not separated into small chunks of information, it becomes all too easy for you to opt out, and hit the “back” button!

However if you find one that contains headlines that grab your attention, and sub-heads that are spot on to that which you are looking for, the chances of you continuing to read that page, is very probable.

It is neat, user friendly, helpful and interesting!  If say within the context you find a story that relates to something you have experienced yourself, it becomes all the more personable to you. As you continue, if you find a service or product that answers your needs

and helps you to reach a goal, then you are much more likely to buy! People don’t like to be “sold”! They like to find helpful information that answers their questions, and benefits their needs, and does so without them even perceiving a “pitch”.

Since you have already proven to them, through helpful content, and information, that your first concern is their best interest, you provide them with trust, and improve credibility.  It is these sites that convert surfers into buyers.

Plus these buyers also become loyal customers, who in turn tell their friends about your site. Word of mouth is STILL the best advertisment, for the simple reason of personal endorsement. When friends tell friends, the friend knows their reason for telling them

is because they enjoyed the experience, and wish their friend to do the same.
